今天课堂的几个点必须更正或强调.
首先是
take effort不表示付出努力,而表示需要努力.所以在不改变用词的前提下,原来翻译的句子应该是
it was efforts taking for him to squeeze out the toothpaste.

另外课堂上出现的强调句型
It’s the company who is footing the bill．
改为以that引导的强调句后为
It’s the company that is footing the bill．

建议多使用that,因为that通用.而Who大多数时候为在强调人的时候使用,基于立场不同可能有使用偏差.

最后强调一下hope的用法
表示“希望别人做某事”要用hope +从句。
She hopes that you will go to see her tomorrow .
所以"你最好希望经理别提那件事"按照语法应该为
you'd better hope that manager will not mention about the case.
当然如果是用作调侃,最好是
you'd better wish that the manager would not mantion about the case.
