适合对象:能听懂中速发音清晰的日常英语,并具备日常生活交流能力且与外教能顺利进行口语沟通,或已过大学英语四级且掌握相应的实际应用能力的学员。

教学特色:

在每一个相关主题(作比较、给出理由、谈论事实、请求重复信息、礼貌确认信息、寻问细节等)下,通过具体的填空、造句、情景下的模仿等练习以达到掌握所需的相关词汇、短语、句型和表达,注重表达的完整和流畅。

对于同一个主知识点(例:礼貌拒绝回答问题)多角度多方面进行解析和补充,给出相近或相反的表达, 通过在不同虚拟场景下的演练,在对比常用口语表达与商务情景下的正式回答,使学员深入理解相关知识点的使用范围和方法。

采用角色扮演的方式,加入多人的讨论与辩论,练习在同一场景下不同的表达产生的不同效果,以使其形成鲜明的对比,达到主次分明的学习效果,深入解析重点知识,对主知识点进行多场景下的演示和操练,同时加入相关知识点的学习。

教学目标:

A. 重在----流畅的表达:在此阶段学员需掌握具体某一主题下的词汇、短语、句型和特定表达,注重表达形式上和内容上的完整性。

B. 细化----表达的内涵:学员要达到对于同一意义的信息可以进行多种形式和多种情况下的灵活表达与应用,同时并要掌握引申出来的相关词汇、短语、句型,以达到扩大学员词汇量,积累相关知识点的目的。

C. 丰富----内涵的多元:从横向拓宽学员表达的范围,针对不同的背景下运用相对固定的所学短语、句型表现出不同的涵义,以使所阐述的观点更具说服力。

  
老师简介Intro.
Steven老师毕业于圣诺伯特大学政治学及历史专业,之后赴夏威夷大学攻读组织管理学学位。拥有TEFL教师资格证,有近二十年的英语教学经验。成为职业英语教师之前,他曾是一名外汇交易和期货经纪人,供职于当时美国最大的零售券商添惠证券(Dean Witter Reynolds) 。丰富的知识与职业经历使得他对商业和金融类课程学生来驾轻就熟。他希望自己的课不仅仅是教授语言课,还能够启发大家思考。事实上,平时紧跟热点对于各类话题都能给出自己独到的观点,以此引导学员来进行思考和表达,在良好的互动中学员英语水平提高的同时更拓展了视野。 

授课特点Characteristics 
有超过20年海外教学经验,教授过包括来自泰国、日本、韩国和台湾地区在内来自亚洲的学员。Steven老师会针对大家学习英语的难点,采用特别的教学方法,注重培养训练学员准确的英语表达习惯和思维方式。除了日常英语外,擅长教授商务英语、金融和科学类英语。

乐小知眼中的老师Impression 
生活在风景如画的威斯康辛州北部,Steven老师非常享受自己的田园生活,喜欢徒步山林之中。他爱好广泛,会下国际象棋、欣赏来自世界各地不同风格的音乐,也热爱阅读各类书籍,无论是历史、宗教还是东方文化,甚至中医都有涉猎。他对一切未知的知识充满好奇,也喜欢在课堂上与学员探讨各种问题,在他的课堂上学员能够真正体会到语言是在运用中不知不觉得到提升的。课堂上更有丰富的话题,上他课的学员绝对不会感到枯燥。
